Books To Read This Fall

One of my favorite things to share on my blog are book recommendations. I always get such great feedback, so I wanted to share some books to read this Fall. Most of them are new releases and books I just really think you guys will love.

Books To Read This Fall

The first book is Baby Doll. This wouldn’t usually be a book I would pick up but I was sent it. It’s very similar concept-wise to Room, which I LOVED but was semi traumatized by. This goes a little deeper into the family dynamics of what happens. Held captive for eight years, Lily has grown from a teenager to an adult in a small basement prison. Her daughter Sky has been a captive her whole life. But one day their captor leaves the deadbolt unlocked.

I downloaded Balancing in Heels for our Staycation weekend to have something fun to read. I really loved this book, especially looking at her life with kids and how she balances it. There are also great recipes in the book.

I recently read The Singles Game, which has been on my iPad for months. I loved it. I have loved all of Lauren Weisberger’s books so I knew this would be no different.

I know a lot of you have probably been hearing about Eligible. Let me tell you right now, this book needs to be on your “to read” list. It’s a modern day Pride and Prejudice and you won’t be able to put it down.

The Girls is a really chilling and captivating look at what happens when impressionable girls in the 60’s get caught up with a psycho.

Truly, Madly, Guilty was phenomenal. I actually heard about this book from Reese Witherspoon’s Snapchat. She recommended it, and I was looking for a new book to read. It was fantastic! It’s a look at love, friendship, and something unthinkable happening.

If you liked the movie, The Big Chill you will love In 20 Years. A story of friends who are torn apart by tragedy and come back together 20 years later.

I saw Me Before You earlier this summer and knew I wanted to read After You. I finally got around to it, and while I didn’t love it as much as the original I did love it. If you want to see what happens to Louisa Clark after Will then for sure grab this book!

I love Nicholas Sparks books and the last few before this weren’t my favorite but I really like this one. I think it’s a bit different than his usual books but for sure pick up See Me if you need a Nicholas Sparks fix!

I would love to know what books to read this fall you are thinking about!

  13. Nice list! I am especially interested in Eligible after your comparison to P&P. The best book I’ve read lately that I would recommend to all is “All the Missing Girls” by Megan Miranda. Right now I’m reading “The Tea Planters Wife” and loving it so far.

“Tristessa” by Kerouac and, most likely Bukowski yet again. The fall is just that kind of time.

  24. I am on the wait list at the library for Truly, Madly Guilty and I am #633!! Ugh. I also have The Singles Game on my list to read and a friend just told me to read Eligible so now I’ve added it to my list. I have read After You and See Me. I love Nicholas Sparks! I would also suggest Jodi Picoult’s new book, which will be out this fall. I am already #579 on the library wait list for that one lol. I also just added Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick to my read list (out this fall) and Taylor Jenkins Reid’s new book One True Loves! I love reading, if you can’t tell 🙂

  41. Yay, I love book recommendations! I have a huge list of to-read books for the summer and I’ve made it about 1/2 way through, but I keep getting sidetracked by all the other great books out there! I just finished My Lady Jane and have Graceling, Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother and The Invention of Wings on my nightstand. Pinning this for future reference. 🙂
