5 Things To Do Before The End Of The Year

It’s hard to believe that we are days away from a new year. I am for sure the type of person who get’s excited for a new year. Not for the parties but for the new start. Who doesn’t love a new start? One of my favorite things to do is make a list of things to get done before a new year starts. Today I am sharing 5 things to do before the end of the year to ensure your 2018 is a great one!

5 Things To Do Before The End Of The Year

Get Organized: For some reason I get on rampages around this time of year to organize all the things. Lately it’s been Liam’s toys and my nightstand. Both of which have reached crazy levels of disorganization. I feel like if my house is organized when the year starts I am much more likely to keep it that way. Also a great time to declutter and donate!

Find A Planner/Calendar That Works: I use a Day Designer. I love it. I have used one the last several years and I also use Google Calendar. Either paper or digital, find an organizer that works for YOU!

Find A Health Plan For You: I feel like this is the time that a lot of people start a new diet or health plan. I know one we are considering is the Keto360. You will be able to find the products and program on store.draxe.com. Basically it’s a 30-day nutrition and supplementation program that’s designed to change the body, transform the brain to allow mental clarity and banish sugar cravings. I know for me I am not much of a sweets eater until the holidays roll around so this timing is perfect. KetoProtein is powered by real bone broth and contains 15g of real, whole food complete protein. It also has 11g of fat from organic chicken bone broth oil and medium-chain triglycerides (MCT’s) from coconut. Not to mention it’s non-GMO, gluten free, dairy free, soy free and grain free. Check out this page for more details: https://store.draxe.com/products/ketoprotein-chocolate. The chocolate really tastes great and is perfect in smoothies. Andrew is a huge fan! Like I said, this is a program we are seriously considering, so let me know if it’s something you are interested in too!

Set Your Intentions: This could be resolutions, goals, intentions, whatever you prefer to call them. I like to make yearly goals and monthly goals to keep track of. I also like to make intentions. For example I intend to volunteer my time and be less selfish this year.

Find Your Word Of The Year: A lot of people do this. I never have but one think I want to do in this next week or so is figure out what my word for 2018 will be! Have you done this before?

Is there anything you would add to this list?

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Dr. Axe. The opinions and text are all mine.

The first thing I need to do is get my new planner set up! I usually already have important dates and things written in by now, but I’m behind a little.

I’m starting a new Bullet Journal for 2018 and I can’t wait to get it all set up before the end of the year so that I have all my goals, resolutions, and work planning done in advance. Bullet Journaling keeps me so organized!

  5. I have never heard of Keto 360. Thanks for sharing it with us, I may just have to give this a try. I have heard really great things about the Keto Diet. I am really looking forward to starting the new year. I have lots of plans and goals to conquer. For sure going to be trying the word of the year. I have never done so either. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  10. I had a word of the year for 2017, and I think it was a good one – so I’m going to try and think of something for 2018!! I have my planners (yes, more than one) for the new year. Just need to get them set up and ready to go!!

I think the best among your 5 suggestion is to make a Health plan. I have been so complacent with minding my health lately. I am not getting any younger and I should start taking care of my self more.

I am planning to come up with a good health/meal plan for 2018! For me, it’s hard to stay on a plan while going to school/work. Healthy meals are hard on the go! I also am a HUGE fan of getting a calendar. I got a Blue Sky planner for Christmas and I love it already! A pretty planner and some nice pens make me oh so happy 🙂

  16. You’ve just reminded me that I’ve not got a diary/planner for the new year! This proves I need to get organised 🙂

I’d add mindfulness. Find something you can do everyday and just enjoy with no distractions. For me it’s a coffee on the porch. I look at the view, taste the coffee, listen to the birds, and try not to think of anything, just focus on the experience. When the coffee’s all done, I feel calmer and ready to face another day. 🙂
