5 Things I Do Every Day

It is so important to make sure you do something for yourself every day. Big or small making yourself happy is something that needs to be done before you can make others happy. These are 5 things I do every day that are pretty simple and don’t take tons of time but really fill my cup.

5 Things I Do Every Day

5 Things I Do Every Day

Read: One of my favorite things to do is to read and it’s something that I always make time for. Sometimes it’s first thing in the morning. Sometimes it’s while I am on the Peloton. Sometimes it’s before bed but no matter when it is I always make time for it.

Go for walks: I started doing this about a year ago. I had always loved walks but I started making it a point to take a walk every single day. It has changed so much for me! It helps my mental health, my physical health, and gives me time to be outside alone every day.

Have dinner with my husband: Unpopular opinion but we do not eat our dinner with our kids. We sit with them while they eat but we eat once they go to bed. I’m sure when they are older this will change but we like having our alone time and eating together uninterrupted.

Make time for my skincare: No matter what, I do my skincare routine morning and night. I make time to do face masks several times a week and do my ice roller. Spending time on my skin and taking care of it is extremely important to me. I also always always always have sunscreen on my face.

Tidy the house: I can’t go to sleep with a messy house. Our kids are responsible for tidying their spaces and we always clean up the kitchen and put things away before bed. Sometimes a random toy is left out, but for the most part, I like the house tidy at night so we start every day fresh.

What is something you do every day?

  2. Every day I list 3 things I’m grateful for, plan the next day, and watch either sunrise or sunset.

Going for a walk every evening is my goal as well, especially since I am not currently working and need to take the chance to get out of the house. As the weather gets colder I wish you a lot of luck and to stay warm and safe out there!

  4. I do a lot of the same. I drink my coffee, read my Bible, and spend a few minutes cleaning the house before I get to work. I can’t go a day without my walks outside.

Having a routine, or at least a standing list of things you do every day, is such an amazing way to bring a sense of security to your life.

There are things that I absolutely have to do in a day for my job and my mental health. I’m a Virtual Assistant, so if I want to stay on track and maintain sanity, I need to do certain things every day.

  13. Just like you, it’s walking everyday and jogging, as well. Most especially with the jogging, it’s part of my life-long health routine.
