5 Things Every Girl Needs To Keep In Her Car

This post is created in partnership with o.b.® tampons and Socialstars however all thoughts and opinions are my own #OBelievers

Recently something very exciting happened! I bought a new car! I was pretty excited, and we had been planning this for quite a while. I have never had XM radio, heated seats, or a back-up camera, so trust me this was a huge deal to me! The little things guys. One thing I always love about getting a new car is being able to clean my car out and reorganize what I need to keep in my car at all times. Over the years I have discovered some staple items that when kept in my car make my life a lot easier. These are the 5 things every girl needs to keep in her car. I hope you find them helpful too!

  • Hand Sanitizer. My husband is a hand sanitizer freak, and I am fairly certain that has rubbed off on me over the years. I love keeping hand sanitizer in my car for things like pumping gas (gross) or if I am going to eat in my car, I like to have my hands clean. The outside world is a gross place guys!
  • Snacks. Being in my car a lot, I get hungry. Shocking, I know! I always keep a variety of granola bars in my car. I love the chocolate chunk 90 calorie bars and Cliff bars for post workout snacks.
  • Band Aids/Neosporin. I am clumsy and I hurt myself a lot, so this comes in handy far more than I would like to admit! Plus, it’s always nice to be the person that can help if you are with someone and they get a cut.
  • Tampons. Story time. So I live in the burbs and drive into Dallas every day to go to my gym or barre classes and for errands and meetings. This can mean that most days I am gone from our house anywhere from 4-8 hours a day. The latter especially if I have a dr appt or something. One day I realized that, that time of the month came a bit earlier than expected, and I was not ready! I was not home and wasn’t going to be home for a while. So what do I do? Thankfully I was near a good friends house and knew she was home. I texted her in a panic and thankfully she had what I needed! She had the goods! Being in this situation is not smart. That’s why now I always keep extras in my car in case of emergency! Lately, I have been using o.b.® tampons and I love them for so many reasons.

Every woman’s body is different. That’s why o.b.® tampons are designed to help stop leaks by expanding all-around to fit each unique shape. Fluid-Lock® grooves for locked-in leak protection. The only one with SilkTouch™ cover for ultimate comfort and protection. I love how compact they are too! I like to keep my center console tidy and organized and these ensure that!OB-Pro-Comfort-1

  • Tissues/Wet Ones. With the winter months in full force, runny noses and allergies are all around us. I always have tissues in my car. They also double as napkins if you have a spill (coffee spills happen more than I would like to admit). Wet Ones are great too! This was a random impulse buy at target one day, and I have used them a ton for cleaning up random spills or getting stuff off my hands like grease one day at the gas pump….ugh!

Having these items in your car can be a huge lifesaver when an emergency strikes! I always like to be prepared. There are obviously other things you should keep in your car like insurance papers, spare tire, etc. But these are the 5 things every girl needs to keep in her car that maybe you wouldn’t think of.

What is something you keep in your car you would suggest?

I’m pretty sure I keep hand sanitizer and chapstick almost everywhere: car, purse, work bag. Snacks are a good idea, too. I always make sure I have those for road trips, or if I have a longer drive somewhere.

Definitely always keep tampons in my car! Other things that are in my car kit? Lip Balm, mascara, hairbrush, umbrella. I also have a serious kit, because in Canada every winter there’s a story about some poor person who got stuck in their car during a snow storm but they were able to survive because they had blankets, a flashlight & lots of snacks. 😛

  6. I keep Chapstick, pony tail holders, napkins and jumper cables. I use a diva cup but I do keep ob in my car in case a friend needs one or I forgot to use my cup. Best tampon since they produce the least amount of waste and least leakage.

I need to ask some snacks, I get so grouchy when I’m hungry. Good call!

Hand sanitizer is such a good idea! I didn’t even think about it for pumping gas – but now that I do, I’m certainly grossed out. I didn’t even think of everyone’s hands touching it!! Eww!! Snacks are always nice to have too 😉

I also keep a small package of baby wipes in the car. My kids are past the age of diapers by a good number of years, but the wipes are perfect for all types of spills and cleaning hands & faces!

I keep hand sanitizer in my car that comes with a pump so I don’t have to fumble around my car for it! I also keep a set of nail clippers in my car – they’ve come in so handy when I have a really bad hangnail or have broken a nail.

I would say tylenol too…if I’m stuck somewhere the reason is probably giving me a headache. 🙂

  17. I keep wipes and sanitizer. One of my ten jobs is a driver for a courier service and between the food smells and shaking hands, I need to keep mine clean.

These are some great items for the car. I also leave in deodorant – to refresh after a very active day at the gym or what not as well as fresh socks and a plastic bag. I live the high life as a teacher. Lol. But everything else is right on par with what I carry in my car. My husband was a bit weirded out when he came upon my stash of feminine hygiene products. Silly males… they know nothing.

    Cheers!

This is a great list. I also keep wet wipes and hand sanitizer in my car. I try to keep my feminine products in my car to save my passengers from any embarrassing situations. Also, I keep a blanket in my trunk just in case my car breaks down in the winter, I don’t want to be cold while I wait.

    Happy Holidays,
