Current Fitness Routine

I feel like my fitness routine changes often. While a lot of it stays the same the way I do things and the days I do them fluxuates with different life stages and seasons. Going into a new school year and it still being insanely hot outside I have had to modify when and what my current fitness routine is.

Current Fitness Routine

Peloton: I try to do something with the Peloton every day. Sometimes it’s a ride (at least 5 days a week) and sometimes it’s some sort of strength. I usually alternate and do 2-3 days of arms, 2-3 days of abs, and 2 days of some sort of Barre/Pilates class. Every now and then I will also mix a yoga in. I love their stretching classes too and try to do at least one a day!

Walking: If you read this post and have been following for a while you will know I try to walk outside every single day. This started back last September so almost a year ago. It has been HUGE for my mental health. Lately since it’s so hot I have been doing my walks first thing when I wake up. If the weather is bad (storming, freezing cold) I use my walking pad. Use code NEELYKINS for $100 off.

Other: I love to take group fitness classes but it’s not always conducive to my schedule. When I do I prefer Barre or Hot Pilates. Thankfully Dallas has no shortage of amazing studios. I do try to do at least one a month!

So that’s basically my current fitness routine. I love the freedom that comes from being able to do most of my workouts at home or outside. Having little kids and working for myself it makes it so much easier.

What is your current fitness routine?

Your routine sounds similar to mine. My husband and I get up at 5 am and do a 10-minute strength then a 10-minute yoga. After that, we go for a 30-minute walk around the neighborhood with his dad. I get home, have time to shower, and get ready before taking the boys to school in the morning.

I like the group classes too. You’re right though, they’re hard to fit into a schedule.

  3. It’s interesting to see how different people approach their fitness goals. As for me, I do 30-min walking with my dogs daily to keep my excess fats away.

Well done you for looking after yourself! You’ve motivated me to get a workout in today. I took two rest days because I had pulled a muscle in my back from dead lifts, but it’s time to get back to it.

Thx for sharing. I walk either in the forest, or by the groves or by the beach each morning. In Summer I’ve been taking a quick swim afterwards.

I’d like to add something gentle to my even winddown. A light stretch to gentle music or something. I used to do that in the past and loved it. So time to bring it back.

I love doing a spinning bike workout in the wintertime. Right now, with the great summer weather, I’ve been enjoying outdoor pool swims.

My routine is pretty much simple. I just walk for at least an hour a day in our treadmill. I love the idea of doing this first thing when I wake up. Will start this weekend.
