My Biggest Weaknesses

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of calocurb. All opinions are 100% mine.

So, I have been thinking about writing this post for a while. I think so much in blogging/Instagram we share all of our amazing qualities and all the good things. But I want to share other things too. When I say my biggest weaknesses, I don’t ONLY mean things like I’m very impatient (more on that below) but also that I’m a huge snacker (more on that below too!) So, I want to touch on a few weaknesses, so you can know that side of me too!

My Biggest Weaknesses

Snacking: I have always been a snacker. I am the target audience for anything involving chips, crackers, cookies, etc. I love them! I try to go for healthy snacks like apples, veggies, hummus, etc. But sometimes I just want to eat an entire bag of chips and salsa. I can’t be alone here. How do I combat this? Well a few months ago I mentioned Calocurb which is a 100% plant-based, vegan supplement that helps curb your appetite. It’s not about missing meals, but avoiding the daily temptation of snacks at work, or if you are like me and work in your kitchen sometimes- the daily temptations of your pantry! It works in an hour, so if you are a 3PM snacker just take one around 2PM and you’ll be fine. For me, I am more of a 5PM snacker. I think it’s because Liam wants a snack and I’m like “yeah Liam those pretzels do look good-I’m going to eat 50.”  So, you think less about food, you’re less hungry, and you feel way more in control of your appetite, which is key for me. It’s really great if you are like me, looking to maintain weight.

Patience: We always joke that I inherited my dad’s patience. Basically, I am the least patient person. I am extremely patient with Liam, but when it comes to technology, traffic, waiting in lines, or basically anything else I am super impatient. My poor husband. I really try to check myself when I feel impatient. Meditating in the mornings has also really helped me throughout the day as well. It’s to me my biggest weakness and fault and I try constantly to improve upon it.

Taking On Too Much: I am horrible at saying no. If someone asks who can volunteer for this or that? Who can help throw this baby shower or that bridal shower, I always volunteer. I am just not the best at realizing I am taking on too much till it’s too late. This came to a head a few weeks ago when I got the flu in the middle of Liam’s class Halloween party. I had run myself ragged getting things done for work, the party, and so many other things that I wasn’t taking proper care of myself and I ended up sick for a week. Lesson learned.

I hope this gave you a little more insight into my biggest weaknesses. Do you want to share one of yours below?

  1. I’m a constant snacker too – it’s one of my worst habits, eating out of boredom rather than real hunger! I do feel you, Neely!

One of my biggest weaknesses is probably drinking too much dr pepper through the week. As well as over thinking some things regarding sports.

Snacking is mine too. Especially potato chips. It’s all about the salty snack for me, fortunately I can stay away from the sweets.

Snacking and not saying no are my biggest weaknesses. I find my inability to say no and taking on to much causes me to stress eat!

I am the same way with snacks! Especially this time of year. I am usually the one grazing at the snack table at Christmas parties the whole night! LOL

Oh my gosh, I could have written this post! We would be the best of friends and the worst influence because we would just enable each other’s snacking and no patience! I get snacky around 7pm, after my boys have gone to bed and it’s me-time.

Thanks for being so honest in this post! My biggest weakness is probably that I get angry too easily. I usually get over it fast, too, but it’s probably still alarming to my hubby haha

I was just thinking about how awful my habits are when it comes to snacks. And then I check your blog and there is your post about snacking. I truly am addicted to junk food. It’s to the point I consider it out of control. Chips, but especially anything sweet and chocolate.

Patience is key, and meditation really helps to calm the inner being. Interment fasting has really helped me maintain a solid diet and eating constantly.

I am with you on this. It is so hard for me to say no even if I know I have barely any time. I think this is something, I am going to work on for 2019. I am going to find that calocurb for my second who is a big snacker just like you.

I rarely volunteer for anything. I can’t even keep up with my own responsibilities, and one more bit of stress and I’ll probably break.

  18. I think we all have weaknesses, no matter how healthy we try to be. I think the key is allowing yourself to indulge occasionally, so that you don’t feel deprived.

I never used to be a snacker but something changed in the last few years and I’ve had to discipline myself to stop it from getting out of hand. Good you found something to curb the cravings.
