The topic today is holiday traditions and activities! I figured I would share a few of my favorites holiday traditions from years past!
Our favorite activities include going to look at Highland Park Christmas Lights on Christmas Eve with hot cocoa. We always spend the entire month of December watching holiday movies especially Home Alone 1 and 2! Our favorites! We also go to Alamo Drafthouse each year to see the Home Alone Quote-Along. We wear our Christmas Jammies on Christmas Eve and to open gifts the next morning. We decorate the weekend before Thanksgiving. My two favorite ornaments are my engagement ring box that Andrew turned into an ornament (we got engaged a week before Christmas) and our yearly ornament with the year on it! Lastly we get A LOT of red cup drinks from Starbucks together all holiday season. My mom and I always see a movie together Christmas Day. Andrew comes if it’s a movie he wants to see. We have Beef Tenderloin for Christmas dinner and I look forward to that ALL YEAR!
Here are a few pics from the past two years!
Link up with us an share your favorite holiday traditions and activities! We would love to hear them!
Home Alone is a must EVERY holiday season! I love your “filthy animal” shirt!!!
LiveLifeWell,
Allison
Merry Christmas ya filthy animal! LOVE IT!
Awww those are some really awesome traditions. I love the little things in life that turn into traditions and make holidays more memorable. Both my kids are adults now and have chosen this year to throw all their childhood traditions out the window and start new adult traditions. Change is a good thing. We’ll see which ones last and which ones come back from the past.
What fun traditions! I absolutely love Christmas time, and I think the traditions are really what make it special.
We also have a similar tradition. Each year we add a new ornament to our christmas tree. We either buy a new one or make our own that reflects on our year. XO Happy Holidays
Those are awesome traditions. I love how this season really brings out the traditionalist in so many people. I think it is incredibly important to have those memories. Great shirt by the way!
Home Alone is my favorite! I also love that sweater omg!
I LOVE the ring box as an ornament. How sweet! I love holiday traditions. They really bring you together, and it is never too late to start one.
My husband and I started the “ugly sweater” tradition a few years ago and I love it!
My husband makes us all watch A Christmas Story for 24 hours. He even bought the leg lamp11
I love your traditions! My husband and I both love the Home Alone movies (1 and 2), so those are definitely on our list to watch this weekend! ๐ I can’t wait to have a red cup and sit down and have a few good laughs!
That’s so sweet that your husband made your engagement ring box into a Christmas ornament. I love the movie tradition too.
Christmas jammies are the best tradition!
That is a SUPER cute idea to turn your engagement ring box into an ornament!!! Love it!
Aww, love this! How cute that he turned your engagement ring box into a Christmas ornament. What a nice memory to have throughout the years!
Love that photo of you holding the starbucks cups! Maybe for our thank you card we can do that with Dunkin cups! Thanks for sharing.
