So crazy to think it’s July already! I feel like every month goes faster and faster. Hard to believe it’s time for my July Goals. As much as I am not a huge fan of summer (Texas gets too hot), I am enjoying the more laid back weekends. There were a lot of things I wanted to do in June. In July I hope to accomplish even more. First lets see how I did in June, then we can take a look at my July Goals.
In June I wanted to…
- Read eight books! Can I do this every month? Time will tell! I read 5 books. Not my best month but we had a lot going on!
- Spend more time with friends one-on-one. I did get to see a few of my friends one-on-one this month, but a lot of people went on vacations.
- Surprise my dad with something for Father’s Day. I did get to surprise my dad with a fun gift! He was thrilled!
- Plan a trip for later in the year. We are working on our anniversary trip planning now! We are heading to California again!
- Organize a few closets upstairs. I swear one of these days this will happen.
- Go to my gym’s barre class at least once or twice. I did get a chance to take this class once it was great!
- Workout six times a week. I have been pretty good about working out 5-6 times a week!
- Cook one new meal or bake one new thing. We cooked a few new meals this month. One of my favorites was the fried rice we made. It’s a lot healthier than normal fried rice.
In July I want to…
- Read 5 books.
- Have two dates with Andrew to places we haven’t been before.
- Go to a museum in Dallas.
- Try one new restaurant.
- Organize the upstairs closets. If I keep adding it to the list, it’s bound to happen right?
- Clean out some areas of my office.
- Pull things from my closet I no longer wear and sell/donate.
- Bake banana bread
I would love to know what some of your July Goals are! I also plan on posting in a few weeks a bit of a mid-year check in on my 2016 goals!
What is one of your July Goals?
I am trying to read more snd I really need to organize my closet and get rid of things. I have way to many clothes that I’m not wearing!
If I can just finish “Wild and Free” this Summer, I’ll be doing good. I also want my husband and I to read “You and Me Forever” by Francis Chan, but that hasn’t happened yet.
Good luck on this month’s goals!
Banana bread is one of my favorites! Hope you meet all your goals.
A nice list of goals for July! I hope you get to them all 🙂 best wishes!

These goals are awesome! Thanks for inspiring me to think about mine. I’d love to work out more and read more.
Good luck on all your goals! June was busy for us so my husband and I didn’t really get to have many date nights but we are starting out July fresh and have a date night planned tonight!
Awesome goals for July! I love the one about the date nights! 🙂 I posted my July goals on my blog today, but basically I’m starting a new health & fitness program, I want to beat my mile time, track my spending and enjoy more adventures!

Great goals for this month – nice and concrete! Hopefully this is the month you finally tackle those closets 😉
My goal this month is a No Buy July! The post is up on my blog if you’re interested 🙂
Girl you are a workout fanatic! Kudos to you!!! My goal is to read 5 books a month and I’m proud that I did that for June!!!
Great goals for July. I like this idea for a blog post. A good way to hold yourself accountable.
Good job on sticking to most of your goals! I have been nesting like a maniac since our first baby is due in September and working for a school, I’m off work right now & have time to get a lot done. Pretty much all of my goals for this month revolve around getting things clean and organized and set up in the baby’s room and to spend plenty of time relaxing and enjoying the days where I can do nothing if I choose!

Oh my goodness, I really need to write down my goals. I like that your goals are attainable, but something to reach for at the same time. Hmm, I think one of my goals will be to read (and finish) 4 books, and implement what I learn from them.
Sounds like some awesome goals! I am not reader so I am super impressed by 5 books!
My july goal is to go on one date a week with my husband 🙂
Hmm, like yours, I think I would like to read at least some of the books I’ve got piling up on my books-to-read list. And have some “me” time, I think will be good, too.
I hope to clean out my closet in July, too. I’m publishing my own list in a few days!

Have you tried thredup? It’s my favorite for selling and donating used clothing because they’ll donate whatever they won’t buy from you. >> http://www.thredup.com/r/QXHLAN
Awesome goals and I think it sounds like your June went really well! I’d love to try a new restaurant a month, too–we tend to go to the same ones because we love to support them, but it’s a good idea to share the love! Also I am trying to up my reading goals, too… some months are just better than others.
Hope you have a wonderful fourth and congrats on hitting up the gym that many times a week–that’s incredible!!
Great goals! I have 5 books on my “to read” list this month, too. I love that you included baking banana bread! That sounds yummy.
My July goal is to get one more article published. I wanted to have three published by the end of the summer and I’ve only got one more to go!

Those are great goals! Good luck with the closet organization – I have been saying I would do that for months but I am a clothing hoarder…”I might need it for an audition!” is my constant excuse. You can do it though!
Great list and giving me lots of inspo to make my own lists again! The one thing I do every month is go on at least 2 dates with Steve (my bf) and we like to try new places too!
I’m so impressed with people who share their goals! I love reading others’ posts but I get scared to share mine… Like people will judge. Even though they prolly won’t. Ha happy Friday
LOL, that’s me too—keep adding it to the list and it’s bound to happen 😀 Reading is one of my favorite things! So far, I’ve read 40 fiction books this year, and 1 non-fic (cover to cover. I usually skip around in those.)
Yum! I love banana bread. So awesome that you’ve been keeping up with reading so well! I’m lucky if I get one book read!
I love these goals! I have many similar ones on ,y list. My favorite one is to make banana bread 🙂
One of my goals is to run more. It’s really hot here in KC, too, so it’s hard to get motivated!
We lived in North Richland Hills for a while about 10 years ago. Rosa’s Tortilla Factory is my FAVORITE! We always make it a point to go when we go back to visit! 🙂
I love your goals list! I’m looking to declutter and organize in my home as well!
I hope you will come to fort worth sometime…make that a goal please so we could catch up over a drink : p
MY July goal is to getaway, been a rough couple of weeks in June, so I want July to be about recoup and rejuvenation!
I can’t believe is July here already. SOunds like some great goals for the month!
I love seeing your goals and progress – five books is still great! My goals this month include growing my social media following, sending more cards to out of town friends, and getting some form of intentional movement every day! Thanks for the inspiration and good luck this month!
Wow, I also make some goals for July. I want to travel more and have some relaxation!
Good luck with your July goals – I’m sure you’ll kill them 🙂
xoxo, Jenny
Those goals sound great! You should check out the Crow Collection of Asian Art in Dallas. The museum is SO cool (and free!), and bonus: it’s right next to Klyde Warren Park, so it’s a great excuse to get some yummy food truck food. 🙂
Good for you on meeting most of your goals for June. I’m making some changes and glad that I’m staying on top of them. Here’s to summer time fun!
